UNDER CONSTRUCTION  

Been gone for a minute now I'm back with the jump off (just kidding) but I will be back soon...very soon. You know sometimes life gets the best of us. And we get side tracked, discouraged or just plain LAZY....Welp I'm here to tell you I have been all 3 plus more and I am on my way back!!!! I am working on revamping my whole blog to bring you a more fulling blogging experience so I ask you to please be patient with the kid as I go through this transition...I pray you all have been well and I will see you soon!!!!!

What is your PASSION.....

Greetings and Good Evening

I know it really has been a while but as we all know, life happens.....we get caught up in your day to day and sometimes we just don't make plans or time for other things outside of the routine things....and with that being said I promise to blog more because I love to write and share my thoughts.


Now tonight I want to talk about passion....What do you love to do......what are you here to do, because you do know you are not here by accident. You are here for a reason.

This is something I think about daily. I always pray to God to reveal my purpose and show me what I here to be doing. He has revealed to me that I am here to write, now I just need to figure out what it is I need to be writing. I do feel that I am here to write because writing is something that I enjoy, something that makes me happy and it's also something that come naturally to me.

This past Sunday in church my Bishop preached on the meaning of life and finding your passion/purpose. He gave us a few questions to ask yourself if you don't know what your passion is so I am going to share them with you....

1. What stirs your passion?
2. What flows naturally out of you?
3. Where do you produce good results?

These are some very good questions to get yourself thinking about what your passion is and when you find your passion you then find your purpose.

F.E.A.R (false evidence appearing real)

Ugh....I know I know it has really been way toooo long but as we know life happens. So with that being said let's jump right in.

Now this is a subject that I know all about, it's something that I have been battling for years probably since I was a young child and that thing is FEAR.....
FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL....and honestly it is such a thing where it really holds you back in so many things in life. There have been so many things that I want to do and this thing called FEAR holds me back every single time. Now I believe we give fear too much credit because the Bible has many scriptures that let's us know we should not be fearful or be in fear.

And I do understand that fear does NOT come from God but it is still something that I still struggle with on a daily basis. I think I tend to over think and focus on the bad of the situation before I can focus on the good of things. I have got a little better with it I mean I am an adult woman in her 30's but fear still has some controlling aspects in my life and to even say that out loud is scary. But we are all works in progress and this is why I thank God for His mercy and grace that He has over us. All I can do is work on it daily and I am and will continue to do that.

Greetings and Happy Independence Day


I pray everyone is well and enjoying your Fourth! Okay well this is a quick post that is a little long over due and since I have been on vacation just thought I would take the time to share with you all.....finally.

Now I am a Hip Hop head and when I say hip hop I do not mean a lot of stuff we hear on the radio. I love artists such as De la Soul, Mos Def (Yasiin Bey), Talib Kweli, Tribe called Quest, The Roots, Wu- Tang just to name a few, and since I was a kid about 9 or 10 (showing my age) I have loved METHOD MAN and REDMAN. I had the pleasure to attend another RED and MEF show on June 6th. Me and my sistafriend Vanessa ventured to Los Angeles to the Belasco Theater and watched this Dymanic Duo do their thang. Now I have not seen them live since 2007 but it was like I never missed a beat. If you haven't seen these two preform you are missing out. They put on a show.

They tell you before the show....."you only need 2 things when you come to a Red and Mef show.....energy and weed" and since I didn't bring weed I brought my energy. Here are some pictures from that night.

AIN'T NO PARTY LIKE a GRITS and BISCUITS PARTY................

First of all how are you doing and how is your week going? Okay now I am a little late with this but it's better late than never right? Okay now May 25th me and my cousin journeyed out to Hollywood, CA and went to a Grits and Biscuits party held at the House of Blues Sunset.

What's a Grits and Biscuits Party? It's a big party basically, people come from all walks of live to come and get their party on. Nothing but southern rap is played all night. There is no dress code, in fact they tell you "ladies do NOT come in heels, do NOT come all dolled up because you are going to be twerking all night and you need to be comfortable.

I have heard about Grits and Biscuits probably the beginning of May, I knew they had 2 parties held in Brooklyn and I also knew Grits and Biscuits was an annual event. They have had parties in NYC, DC, North Carolina and now L.A and I believe their next stop is Chicago in July. So if you would like anymore information about Grits and Biscuits visit their site www.gritsandbiscuits.com and if they are ever in your hood go check them out guarantee you will have the time of your life. And this was a little taste of my first Grits and Biscuits experience. I had a BALL and I will indeed  be attending again. I want to go to the next one they have in NYC I will have to see about that. But I will be going again when they come back to Cali. DIRTY 30........NYC

Greetings and Good Evening....

Well I am back yes I am back and I am 30.....yikes..... I took the liberty to spend my 30th birthday in my favorite place in the whole wide world NYC. Not only is NYC my favorite place it is kind of becoming my second home. I love it out there and I go as often as I can now. I love everything about it, the city, the people, the energy and of course the food :) well here are a few photos from my trip. I didn't take many because everything is going so fast and I just want to take in every moment I am there and sometimes I forget to take pictures...no bueno I know. But this is not my first time in NYC and damn sure won't be my last......

Over all it was so much fun... I was a little scared walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, but by the Grace of God I was able to conquer that fear! I had a blast in New York and in New Jersey. I am very thankful and grateful I was able to visit again. I hope to visit again real soon, ummm maybe in December, to see if I can stand the cold....so I can make that move one day. So I hope you enjoy my pictures, my camera is broking so all of the above were taken with my phone....not to bad.
